What does BoxMyDorm.com do for you?
At BoxMyDorm.com you can store all of your belongings or ship them worldwide. We currently store everything from fridges to futons and the list is growing! We provide door-to-door pickup and delivery, and we will never charge you for boxes. Check us out for packing supplies too!

How does it work?
As a BoxMyDorm patron you will have all of your items picked up at your door and stored for the duration of the summer, and then returned to your new residence upon your return. You never have to leave your room. We will help you through the process - please contact us with any questions via our Support link below.

Computers, are they okay to store?
Yes. Please store your computer in its original box in order to keep it safe. If you must use a BoxMyDorm.com striped box, please pack the computer very securely.

Do I need to use a BoxMyDorm.com box?
No. However, you must contact BoxMyDorm.com via email stating this to support@boxmydorm.com including your name, email, and user name. An extra charge will be assessed after a review. We suggest that you use BoxMyDorm.com boxes for all belongings other than original boxes for electronic goods.

Are the storage facilities climate-controlled?
Yes. Climate-controlled storage means that your boxes will remain in an environment with a safe temperature and that is properly ventilated in the summer months. The storage facility is not air-conditioned.

Are there storage restrictions for belongings?
Yes. Items such as jewelry, cash, perishables, and liquids cannot be stored. For a full list, see the terms and conditions. Upon storage, you agree that your boxes do not contain these restricted items.

Do you offer shipping?
Yes, BoxMyDorm.com can ship your boxes worldwide.

Where are the storage facilities?
BoxMyDorm.com uses local secure storage facilities that meet the needs of your belongings.

Can I access my belongings before the delivery date?
Yes. You must contact us at BoxMyDorm.com. An additional charge of $125 per box will be assessed.

What is the size our striped boxes?
Our boxes are 24x18x18, which is 4.5 cubic feet. They are double walled boxes and securely hold up to 70lbs. We recommend that you order between 3 and 6 boxes - this is the amount of space the typical student uses.

Can you pick up and deliver to off-campus locations?
Yes. Please follow the instructions during checkout.

Do I need to be present during pick-up or drop-off?
No you do not - please contact us for further instructions.

I don’t know where I am going to live in the fall. Is this a problem?
No. Simply log in and update the information as it becomes available.

Are items insured?
Yes. We provide our patrons with $100 of complimentary insurance. Additional insurance is available in increments of $100. Each box may be insured for up to $1,000. Please refer to the terms and conditions for details.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa, and PayPal.

Can I cancel my service?
Yes. You must contact BoxMyDorm.com – fees may apply. Please refer to the terms and conditions for details.

What if I want to store something that isn't on your list of products?
Contact and us and we will be happy to work something out for you.

Can I store my stuff past summer? What are the costs associated with this?
We would be happy to store your belongings through summer and next semester, or even longer!? Please contact us to organize the specifics - we will be happy to help.

Can I have you store my stuff for awhile, and then ship it?
You sure can! If you are interested in setting this up, please contact us and we will be happy to help.

For ShipMyDorm how does the pricing work?
ShipMyDorm does not have a price associated with it until you get to the checkout screen. At this point your shipping will have been calculated, and you must select it using the drop-down menu. This shipping price will only include the shipping of your ShipMyDorm products. If you are using an international address and you are having trouble, please call us and we will work it out.
